Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Representative to join our Medical Imaging team at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare. As a Patient Services Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and company representatives, while also performing business office duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet patients as they enter the office, obtain required patient information, and perform patient registration, including verifying insurance information and collecting co-pays and outstanding balances.
  • Patient Demographic Information: Obtain and update patient demographic information and company information from all patients.
  • Scheduling: Answer phone calls and schedule appointments, direct and document patient calls as appropriate, and coordinate scheduling of outside testing for patients.
  • Liaison: Serve as a liaison between patients and the practice, providing back-up for scheduling appointments and performing all aspects of daily work in a manner that contributes to and ensures an environment of patient safety and confidentiality.
  • Chart Management: Complete daily reconciliation reports to assure charges have been entered correctly, pull charts and ready them for the next day's appointments, file completed patient charts daily, and file test/procedure results in patient's medical record after physician has signed off on the results.
  • Medical Record Requests: Respond to all medical record requests from patients, insurance companies, physician offices, subpoenas, and legal requests per protocol.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
