About This Role:

The Veterinary Health Center at Kansas State University is seeking a skilled Veterinary Nurse to join our dedicated Small Animal Internal Medicine team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and quality customer service.

This position involves assisting in the performance of technical work, maintaining patient care areas, and supporting veterinary students in their learning. You will work closely with our team to ensure the highest level of care for our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the performance of technical work, including patient care and treatment
  • Maintain patient care areas, including regular sanitization and organization
  • Support veterinary students in their learning and development
  • Monitor patient care and compile medical records
Requirements:
  • Completion of a two-year college program in veterinary or animal technology accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association
  • Relevant experience as a veterinary technician (RVT, LVT, CVT) after passing the Veterinary Technician National Exam
  • Knowledge of basic veterinary medical concepts, animal behavior, and animal husbandry
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others and prioritize daily tasks
