Job Description

We are seeking highly motivated college students with a strong work ethic to join our summer internship program at Performance Contracting.

This internship opportunity is designed to equip interns with the essential tools and resources needed to gain comprehensive insight into the specialty construction industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in close mentorship and engaging hands-on activities to obtain real-world experience and develop a solid foundation in construction management.
  • Complete tasks on the Intern Activities Checklist, which includes learning how to write detailed proposals, prepare bid analysis and review, and understand project scheduling.
  • Assist in preparation of quantity take-offs, maintain accurate and timely project documentation and correspondence, and understand preparation of a financial job cost analysis.
  • Learn the administration of the corporate safety program to ensure job site safety and understand specialized equipment utilization.
  • Track and cost value material handling and work directly with owners, construction managers, architects, engineers, and contractors.
Requirements
  • Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate student seeking a Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or comparable degree.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to relocate for the assignment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • A clear understanding of how to read and understand specifications and drawings.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to work in a team environment, and ability to learn new job skills.
