Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with advanced life-threatening or life-limiting illnesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive medical care to patients, including pain and symptom management, and end-of-life care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct patient and family education, counseling, and support.
  • Prescribe and manage medications, including narcotics, to alleviate pain and symptoms.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with current trends and best practices in hospice and palliative medicine.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in nursing and current, active, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in North Carolina.
  • Official recognition as a Nurse Practitioner from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
  • Successful board certification in a specialty within 2 years of hire.
  • Current and unrestricted DEA and Basic Life Support certification.
  • Computer proficiency and experience with electronic medical records.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in direct care of patients with life-limiting illnesses.
  • Experience in hospice and palliative care, family medicine, internal medicine, geriatrics, oncology, home health care, or medical-surgical nursing.
