Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Load Inspector to join our team. The successful candidate will assist equipment operators by identifying customer materials and directing customers to the correct locations in the yard. This role requires strong customer service skills, the ability to work independently, and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and grade incoming and outgoing loads for quality, weight, packaging, hazardous materials, and safety.
  • Report load inspections to the scale operator to ensure accurate payment for customer materials.
  • Write inspection reports and metal tickets as needed.
  • Direct traffic throughout the facility to ensure loads are dumped in the correct locations.
  • Perform general facility cleanup and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions and handle stressful situations.
Work Environment

The Load Inspector will work in an outdoor environment, exposed to all weather conditions, and will be required to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time. The noise level in the environment can be loud, and ear protection may be necessary.
