We are seeking a highly skilled Outside Plant Construction Technician I to join our team at TDS Telecom. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining fiber optic networks in various locations.
Key Responsibilities- Fiber Optic Installation: Assist with the installation of communications facilities, including aerial and buried fiber, in accordance with state and local regulations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Service, clean, and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Documentation: Complete all related paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
- Team Collaboration: Provide assistance to field services technicians as needed.
- Experience: 6+ months of experience in customer service, electrical or utility construction, or technical certification.
- Driver's License: Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and remain eligible for DOT requirements.
- Physical Demands: Ability to climb poles, ladders, towers, and other structures; lift and move up to 50 pounds; and work in various weather conditions.
Associates scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week have access to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off benefits.
