Procurement Specialist

At Grand Isle Shipyard, we are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process for our construction site. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for the construction project
• Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure adherence of contractual agreements
• Collaborate with the project management team to understand material and equipment requirements
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to resolve any procurement-related issues
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and ensure materials are stocked adequately to prevent project delays
• Oversee the logistics of material delivery, including transportation and storage at the site
• Implement and manage an efficient inventory tracking system to monitor usage and forecast future requirements
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all procurement transactions, including purchase orders, contracts, and delivery receipts
• Prepare and present regular reports on procurements status, budget adherence, and supplier performance to the project management team

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the oil and gas industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficiency in procurement software and inventory management systems
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
