Position Summary:

The Site Procurement Coordinator is responsible for managing the procurement process for the construction site. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials, and maintaining accurate records. The coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring all materials and equipment are available to meet the project schedule and budge requirements. The Coordinator will supervise Material Lead and Logistics functions on the construction site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for the construction project
• Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure adherence of contractual agreements
• Collaborate with the project management team to understand material and equipment requirements
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to resolve any procurement-related issues
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and ensure materials are stocked adequately to prevent project delays
• Oversee the logistics of material delivery, including transportation and storage at the site
• Implement and manage an efficient inventory tracking system to monitor usage and forecast future requirements
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all procurement transactions, including purchase orders, contracts, and delivery receipts
• Prepare and present regular reports on procurements status, budget adherence, and supplier performance to the project management team

Qualifications:

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the solar construction sector
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficiency in procurement software and inventory management systems
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills:

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

• Work Environment: This job operates in an office setting. The role may require occasional travel.
• Physical Demands: Ability to move around construction site, including uneven terrain, for extended periods. Ability to stand, walk, and move frequently throughout the day. Ability to handle and move boxes, packages, and other items related to procurement activities.
