Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at UAB Cardiology Ambulatory Clinics. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide medical care and treatment to patients with cardiac conditions, working closely with our collaborating physicians to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive physical examinations and assessments to patients with cardiac conditions
  • Interpret and analyze patient medical records and social data to inform treatment decisions
  • Perform and/or assist with procedures per collaborative agreement with collaborating physicians
  • Coordinate and participate in performance improvement activities to enhance patient care and outcomes
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing with a Family NP, Adult Primary NP, or Adult Acute Care NP certification or graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required
  • Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing or licensed as a Physician Assistant by the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners with certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants required
  • Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required or should be obtained within 30 days of employment
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year of experience as an APP in Cardiology is strongly preferred
