As a Field Service Technician, you will operate in our cutting-edge facilities and at client locations worldwide, serving as the representative of Nutanix and a vital member of a dynamic and diverse team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation of state-of-the-art customer equipment, conduct scheduled preventive maintenance, and perform corrective repairs.
- Adhere to procedures acquired during training, along with published task plans, to evaluate equipment and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Complete necessary job documentation, safety training, and procedures for parts management.
- Represent Nutanix professionally to clients, adopting a "customer-first" approach.
- Meet the company's and client's on-site requirements, including safety, environmental, and health guidelines.
- Mentor junior technicians on site-specific safety protocols, troubleshooting techniques, and fostering a customer-centric mindset.
Qualifications:
Education:
An associate degree in electronics or engineering technologies, relevant work experience, or completion of military technical training along with field experience.
Skills:
- Proficient in interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on detailed documentation.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum systems, and/or thermodynamics.
- Solid understanding of hand tools and their proper use, including digital multimeters.
- Preferred: 4–7 years of experience in the semiconductor sector or another equipment support field.
Work Expectations:
- Travel requirements of approximately 70% - 90% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
- Shift work to ensure continuous customer support.
- Physical ability to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.
- Work in a cleanroom environment, wearing appropriate protective gear; engage in various physical activities such as sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to distinguish color variations.- A valid driver's license and passport are required.
