Job SummaryThis position will be Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with no holiday, weekend, or on-call requirements. The candidate will be required to travel to our satellite locations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Responsibilities- Provide direct clinical care to patients according to established protocols and evidence-based practice standards in collaboration with the team.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records, documenting all medical evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, treatments, outcomes, education, referrals, and consultations in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Identify yourself properly to patients and families, and clarify your role as a nurse practitioner if necessary.
- Function within your scope and refer to the collaborating physician when outside of scope, or when directed by the collaborating physician or requested by the patient and/or family.
- Perform interventions specific to the assigned patient population and collaborative agreement.
- Participate in performance improvement processes to meet quality of care and service standards.
- Demonstrate awareness of professional responsibility as a role model to peers and members of the healthcare team.
- Perform approved therapeutic or diagnostic procedures based on the patient's clinical status.
- Address patient and family concerns and create a therapeutic relationship to provide support.
- Provide patient education, counseling, and instruction regarding patient diagnosis, medical treatments, medications, and preventative care.
- Participate in and support accreditation, compliance, and regulatory activities of the organization.
- Precept NP students and other healthcare learners.
- Identify patient/family needs for community resources and refer appropriately.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required)
- ACLS (For providers in the acute care setting) required.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
- BLS/CPR, as a healthcare provider as per the American Heart Association (For providers in the ambulatory setting) required.
- Certified Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (Required)
- PA and/or NJ CRNP licensure (CRNP) required.
- Prescriptive Authority (Required)
- PA and/or NJ Prescriptive Authority required.
- Registered Nurse - PA (Required)
- PA and/or NJ RN licensure (RN) required. National Board Certification.
- Master of Arts or Science (Required)
- Education Specialization: Master's Degree or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Nursing Equivalent Experience:
•And New to practice or < 2.5 years, The CRNP must be reviewed by the Credentials Committee and approved by the Medical Board.
