Role Purpose

The primary function of this position is to operate vehicles for the transportation of equipment. This role may also involve guiding customers on fundamental equipment operation procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport equipment to and from clients and/or between dealership locations
  • Assist the sales team with equipment deliveries as required
  • Keep accurate records of activities and secure necessary signatures and receipts
  • Maintain all required certifications in accordance with DOT, OSHA, and company policies
  • Accountable for tracking all time and distance traveled while performing assigned tasks
  • Provide instruction to customers on basic equipment operation as needed
  • Operate and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment necessary for job functions
  • Ensure a tidy work environment and conduct work in an organized manner
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while completing work assignments
  • Stay informed about John Deere and competing products

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience operating a gooseneck, tilt, or utility trailer; semi-truck operation experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in off-road, construction, lawn, or heavy machinery
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required
  • Valid driver's license is mandatory; CDL (Commercial Driver's License) is preferred
