Job Summary

Reporting to the Head Women's Volleyball Coach, the Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach is responsible for assisting the head coach and Athletic Director with all aspects of the Volleyball Program, including recruiting, scouting, coaching, and counseling women's volleyball players.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in supervising all activities related to student athletes, ensuring their academic, personal, and professional growth.
  • Provide academic, personal, and professional mentoring to student-athletes, fostering a supportive and inclusive team environment.
  • Comply with all NJCAA rules and regulations, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and sportsmanship.
  • Assist with coordinating the program's recruiting efforts, identifying and evaluating player prospects, making initial contact with potential recruits, and maintaining records of all recruiting contacts.
  • Make regular contact with recruits, assisting with needs for enrollment into school, and advising students on the admissions and financial aid processes and guidelines.
  • Assist in the establishment of the team's competition and practice schedules, including coordinating, locating, and scheduling of opponents, and making travel arrangements for away games.
  • Travel with the team to away games, ensuring a safe and successful experience for all participants.
  • Communicate with others regarding the overall success of players, providing regular updates and feedback.
  • Coordinate and organize equipment and gym setup, ensuring a well-maintained and functional athletic environment.
Required Skills
  • Physical stamina to sustain posture or intense attentiveness for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to lift (more than 50 lbs.), walk, push, and pull on a regular basis.
  • Frequent travel, including overnight and weekend travel, is required.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • 2-years' experience in a position coaching high school or intercollegiate athletics.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 or more years of experience in a position coaching high school or intercollegiate athletics.
