Job Title: Senior Principal Engineer Mission Assurance

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Engineer Mission Assurance to join our team. As a key member of our integrated product team, you will be responsible for implementing and enforcing mission/flight assurance plans for individual spacecraft flight hardware programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and administer effective Safety and Mission Assurance programs in compliance with customer contracts and industry guidelines.
  • Ensure contractual program requirements are flowed down internally and to suppliers, and verify compliance with customer contract, industry, and organizational requirements.
  • Review and improve practices, procedures, and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, and reduce risk to product quality.
  • Interpret customer technical and mission assurance requirements, and ensure integration to program plans, specifications, and product drawings.
  • Provide oversight in discrepancy review, failure investigations, and cause and corrective action determinations.
  • Represent Mission Assurance at various review boards, including Configuration Control Board, Engineering Change Board, and Risk and Opportunity Management Board.
  • Support tracking and reporting metrics, mission-specific risk issues, and develop and present internal and external Mission Assurance briefings.
  • Ensure Risk Management activities are executed and maintained according to standards and procedures.
  • Communicate the impacts and execution of all program, division quality, and organizational requirements to all levels of the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related STEM field.
  • 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI.
  • U.S. Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI.
  • Able to read engineering documentation and inspect drawings and parts lists, inspection plans, and supplemental instructions.
  • Extensive knowledge base in Cause Analysis tools, such as Ishikawa, FMEA, DOE, and KTA.
  • Previous experience managing elements of AS/ISO/CMMI certified internal and external organizations.
  • Experience interfacing with DCMA and Aerospace representatives.
  • Control Account Management experience with Earned Value Management practices.
  • Familiarity with industry workmanship standards; NASA, MIL, NAS, IPC.

Salary Range: $133,000 - $179,000
