Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mission Assurance Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our Flight Systems Group, you will be responsible for implementing and enforcing mission/flight assurance plans for individual spacecraft flight hardware programs.

Key Responsibilities:

* Implement and administer an effective Safety and Mission Assurance program in compliance with applicable customer contracts and guidelines. * Ensure contractual program requirements are flowed down internally and to suppliers, ensuring compliance with customer contract, industry, and organizational requirements. * Perform verification and validation requirements have been met. * Review practices, procedures, and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness and reduce risk to product quality. * Interpret customer technical and mission assurance requirements, ensuring integration to program plans, specifications, and product drawings. * Provide oversight in discrepancy review, failure investigations, and cause and corrective action determinations. * Lead root cause and problem-solving analyses. * Represent Mission Assurance at various review boards, including Configuration Control Board (CCB), Engineering Change Board (ECR), Risk and Opportunity Management Board (ROMB), Corrective Action Board (CAB), Readiness Reviews, and Failure/Material Review Board (FRB/MRB). * Support tracking and reporting metrics, mission-specific risk issues, and develop and present internal and external Mission Assurance briefings. * Ensure Risk Management activities (dFMEA, pFMEA) are executed and maintained according to standards and procedures. * Communicate the impacts and execution of all program, division quality, and organizational requirements to all levels of the organization. * May communicate to Government and customer representatives as well as subcontracts. * Provide S&MA inputs and baseline estimations for future program proposal efforts. * Provide input and support during AS9100 audits. * Lead the S&MA team in support of mission success for large contracts and product lines. * Control Account Manager (CAM) for the S&MA budget on the contract.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related STEM field. * 9 years of relevant experience. * Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI. * U.S. Citizenship. * Active TS/SCI. * Ability to read engineering documentation and inspect drawings and parts lists, inspection plans, and supplemental instructions. * Extensive knowledge base in Cause Analysis tools, such as Ishikawa, FMEA, DOE, KTA (Kepner Tregoe Analysis). * Previous experience managing elements of AS/ISO/CMMI certified internal and external organization. * Experience interfacing with DCMA and Aerospace representatives. * Control Account Management experience with Earned Value Management practices. * Familiarity with industry workmanship standards; NASA, MIL, NAS, IPC.

Salary Range:
$133,000 - $179,000
