Epic Travel Staffing is seeking a skilled and experienced Travel RN - ICU to join our team. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ICU environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including those with sepsis, COPD, CHF, CAD, CKD, AKI, stroke, and other complex medical conditions.
- Manage patient ratios, prioritizing care and delegating tasks as needed to ensure efficient and effective care delivery.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and utilize advanced life support skills, including titration of medication, IV insertion, blood draws, and central line management.
- Monitor and maintain patient equipment, including ventilators, nitric oxide, and EVD management.
- Participate in code blue and rapid response team activations, providing critical care interventions as needed.
Requirements:
- Current KY RN license
- 2+ years of acute care RN experience
- Norton work history
- Docusign required
- Diploma or Associate degree in nursing
- Ability to read tele strips and titrate medication
- BLS and NIH ACLS certification
- Required skills: IV insertion, blood draws, PICC/Central Line management, dialysis fistula assessment, A-line management, CVPI, ABP, obtain 12 lead EKG, cardioversion/defibrillation, epicardial pacer management, procedural sedation, CPAP/BiPAP, ventilators, nitric oxide, trach care, EVD management, ICP monitoring, Impella/LVAD, ECMO, peritoneal dialysis, CRRTE, epidural/PCA pump, feeding tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, chemo administration, wound vac
