Fire Academy Adjunct Educator

As an Adjunct Educator for the Fire Academy, you will play a crucial role in guiding students through their educational journey in fire science. Your responsibilities will include developing and delivering curriculum that aligns with contemporary educational practices, evaluating student performance, and contributing to the overall enhancement of the program.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver instruction to students enrolled in the College Fire Academy, ensuring adherence to established educational standards.
- Design and implement discipline-specific curricula that meets the needs of students and the objectives of the program.
- Participate in the assessment of student learning outcomes and engage in program evaluation activities.
- Support the mission and strategic initiatives of the College through active participation in departmental and college-wide activities.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid EMT/Firefighter certification in the state of Florida.
- Hold a current State of Florida Level I Fire Instructor certification or higher in the relevant instructional area.
- Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing technology for educational purposes, with the ability to integrate such tools into the classroom environment.
- Educational background must reflect competencies relevant to the courses being taught.
