Adjunct Instructor, Firefighter Educator

Palm Beach State College is seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach Fire Standards for our Fire Academy. The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing students in accordance with educational theories and techniques, developing discipline-related curricula, assessing student learning, and participating in program evaluation.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver high-quality instructional content to Fire Academy students
- Assess student learning and provide feedback to improve academic performance
- Participate in program evaluation and development to ensure alignment with college and department standards
- Maintain college and department standards in support of the College's mission and strategic plan
- Must be a certified EMT/Firefighter in the state of Florida
- Current State of Florida Level I Fire Instructor (or higher) within a certificate program area in which they are certified or hold a certificate of competency
- Ability to demonstrate the use of technology in the classroom and use required technology for assigned courses
- Coursework within the degree must reflect competencies in the courses to be taught
- Carefully review the minimum qualifications advertised for the available position as only applicants meeting the minimum requirements will be considered
- Background Check/Drug Screen may be required based on the specific requirements of the position for which the application is being submitted
- Employment is contingent upon the passing of a drug test and completion of a criminal background investigation
