Material Handling Specialist for 2nd Shift Operations

Midway Products Group is seeking a highly skilled Material Handling Specialist for our 2nd shift operations team. As a key member of our Shipping and Receiving Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our facility.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handling Specialist to join our 2nd shift team. This individual will be responsible for operating powered industrial lift trucks in a safe and efficient manner, while also maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate powered industrial lift trucks to move materials in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the storage and retrieval of materials.
- Assist in die change-over events as required.
- Supply workers with materials as needed.
- Load and unload shipping trucks.
- Interpret labels to ensure proper disposition of materials.
- Weigh materials or products and record on tags or labels.
- Authorized to refuel propane gas as needed.
- Train new or less experienced employees on the job.
- Maintain proper records of work performed.
- Authorized to perform maintenance checks to ensure the Hi-Lo is in proper working condition.
- Authorized to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to product, processes, and quality systems.
- Report any safety or mechanical problems with the Hi-Lo to a supervisor.
- Fill out daily Hi-Lo maintenance check-off list and a weekly scrap audit.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent and an operator's permit.
