Washington Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to fill the role of Unit Manager in our rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursing units, ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents, and promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage a team of nurses and healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and enhance the overall quality of care.
- Mentor and coach less experienced nurses to help them develop their skills and advance their careers.
- Conduct regular rounds to monitor patient care and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as therapy and activities, to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient care.
- Develop and manage budgets to ensure the efficient use of resources and achieve financial goals.
Requirements:
- Current RN license in the state of New York.
- At least 3 years of experience in long-term care, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
