Job Summary:
As a Medical Laboratory Technician at Forrest General Hospital, you will be responsible for collecting and handling clinical specimens, performing therapeutic and diagnostic laboratory test procedures, operating laboratory equipment, and reporting results. You will also participate in quality management and accreditation activities, demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collect and handle clinical specimens with precision and accuracy.
• Perform therapeutic and diagnostic laboratory test procedures, operating laboratory equipment as needed.
• Report results in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring quality patient care.
• Participate in quality management and accreditation activities, adhering to CLIA guidelines.
• Demonstrate knowledge of age-specific reference ranges and use that knowledge in the performance and verification of patient test results.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or equivalent required. Certification/Licensure: MT (ASCP), CLT (NCA) or equivalent credentials.
