Overview:

The Clinical Laboratory Technician performs and interprets analysis on patient specimens using complex laboratory techniques. The Clinical Laboratory Technician provides medical staff with information to aid in patient diagnosis. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.


Qualifications:

Medical Laboratory Technician

  • Education: Associate degree in a major acceptable to a certification agency for MLT
  • Certification/Registration: MLT ASCP or equivalent

OR

Medical Technologist I

  • Associate degree with MLT ASCP certification & 3 years clinical experience
  • Approved Military Training (if applicable)

OR

Medical Technologist II

  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Certifications: MT or MLS (ASCP) or equivalent required
