Teaching Opportunity in Economics

We are seeking a highly qualified and enthusiastic individual to join our faculty as an Economic Adjunct Instructor at South Suburban College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in economics, providing students with a solid foundation in economic principles, theories, and concepts.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate courses in economics
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Stay current with developments in the field of economics
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Economics or a closely related field
  • 2-3 years college teaching experience, community college preferred
  • Strong knowledge of economic theories, principles, and applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and online learning management systems
  • Commitment to student success, academic excellence, and continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Economics or a closely related field
