Community and Economic Development Assoc is seeking a skilled Curriculum Developer to create and organize course content and instructional materials for training programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine and review course content, including course materials, textbooks, and homework assignments.
- Write curricula and materials for new courses.
- Implement potential changes in curriculum after reviewing course content for effectiveness.
- Conduct needs assessments and strategic learning assessments to develop the foundation for curriculum development or updates.
- Set learning objectives for each course.
- Determine evaluation criteria.
- Organize physical and digital resources for instructors and trainees.
- Provide manuals and instructor guidelines on how to use training material.
- Follow up with trainees and instructors after each course and collect feedback.
- Recommend instructional methods such as individual or group instruction, self-study, lectures, demonstrations, simulation exercises, and role-playing appropriate for content and learner characteristics.
- Analyze student performance data to determine the effectiveness of instructional systems, courses, or materials.
- Assess the effectiveness and efficiency of instruction according to ease of instructional technology use, student learning, knowledge transfer, and satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, curriculum development, or a related field.
- 5 years of successful curriculum development experience related to both youth and adult learners.
- Certification in curriculum development or instructional design from a recognized institution.
