Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the clinical aspects of patient care with the healthcare team, including law enforcement personnel.
  • Perform duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), Healthcare Services Administrator (HSA), Mid-Level Provider, Physician, or administrative supervision.
  • Provide quality care and respond to needs within the correctional environment, maintaining standards and ethics of nursing in accordance with applicable State Board of Nursing and other accrediting agencies.
Requirements
  • Graduate from a national or state-approved school of nursing program.
  • Holds and maintains a current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of employment.
  • American Heart Association BLS certified.
  • Corrections experience is a plus.
