The selected candidate will be responsible for gathering client specifications, managing the RFx process, aiding in negotiations, and estimating material costs for proposals aimed at securing new business for Leidos.

We are looking for a candidate who can take initiative, assume responsibility for proposals, and effectively communicate with various levels of management and functional teams.

Additional responsibilities may include Supplier Management, Business Process Re-Engineering, and the deployment of Procurement Tools. Due to the nature of the assignments, occasional travel may be required.


Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely and precise material pricing for proposal initiatives.
  • Oversee the request for quote process, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Meet cost savings and avoidance targets, necessitating strong negotiation skills.
  • Conduct data analysis and evaluate large datasets to price Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Collaborate within a matrixed organization supporting engineering, program management, and financial functions.

Basic Qualifications

Applicants should possess a college degree in supply chain, logistics, business management, engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution, along with 2-4 years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience and specialized training.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required, along with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, as the team utilizes complex functions for data analysis, including V-LookUp, Pivot Tables, and Advanced Formulas.

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively, exhibit strong organizational skills, and pay attention to detail.

Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.

U.S. Citizenship is required for this position, with the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Basic knowledge of microelectronics acquisition, build-to-print processes, raw materials, IT hardware, software, cloud services, cybersecurity, and XaaS technologies is preferred.

Familiarity with creating complex solicitations, supporting proposals, and conducting moderate complexity price and cost analysis is also beneficial.

Demonstrated time management skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines are crucial.


Preferred Qualifications

Experience in procurement, pricing, or subcontracting, with a proven track record of developing RFx's that comply with federal regulations and managing source selection under tight deadlines is advantageous.

Basic understanding of material and component acquisition, including non-IT finished products, raw materials, fabricated parts, electronic components, machinery, equipment, and testing devices is preferred.

Previous experience with Deltek CostPoint and demonstrated interest in data analytics, business intelligence dashboard creation, and IT project management are also valued.
