Quality Assurance Engineer

Ball Corporation is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to provide technical support for the quality assurance function. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing all-inclusive technical support service to Ball customers, leading the implementation of technical improvements agreed between customers and Ball, and coordinating the implementation of filling line trials on customer sites to evaluate new or modified Ball products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for the quality assurance function.
- Provide all-inclusive technical support service to Ball customers.
- Lead the implementation of technical improvements agreed between customers and Ball.
- Coordinate the implementation of filling line trials on customer sites to evaluate new or modified Ball products.
- Contact customers regarding quality issues and visit customer sites as required.
- Review complaints with Ball manufacturing plant and/or customer.
- Respond to customers on quality issue causes and any actions taken within Ball.
- Audit customer filling facilities/warehouses for problems that may result in reduction in filling speed, damage to cans or ends, and unsafe seam quality.
- Ensure effective interaction with Company's other departments.
Requirements:
- Broad training in a related field acquired through a bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering.
- Job-related experience for 3 years minimum in quality or quality-related environment; experience in manufacturing or laboratory environment preferred.
- Certifications/Licenses/Other: ASQ Six Sigma Black Belt or ASQ Quality Engineer certification preferred.
- Working knowledge of engineering principles, practices, nomenclature, and procedures, quality assurance principles, and the manufacturing process.
- Highly Matrixed/High Growth Organization Experience.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills.
- Strong interface with customers, corrective action, and follow-up.
What We Offer:
- Hiring Salary Range: $72,900 - $102,000 (Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
- This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan, with an EVAIC Target of 12.5%.
- Ball includes a comprehensive benefits structure.
- This position can work remotely.
