Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Loader Operator to join our team at Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. in a night shift position. As a Loader Operator, you will be responsible for efficiently controlling the raw materials and replenishment process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Pre- and Post-Shift Safety Inspection: Conduct a complete pre- and post-shift safety inspection daily.
  • Aggregate Products Knowledge: Be responsible for knowing aggregate products.
  • Loading and Replenishment: Able to estimate weight when loading trucks either visually or grade, maintain stockpiles, and load customer trucks in a safe and accurate manner.
  • Communication: Communicate with customer truck drivers to ensure quality service and communicate repair and safety issues to supervisor and/or mechanic.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Responsible for lubrication of truck and performing minor repairs on equipment.
  • Other Duties: Perform other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education: Prefer high school diploma or general education (GED).
  • Experience: Prefer two years of heavy equipment experience.
  • Open Pit Mining Operations: Open pit mining operations and aggregate products experience is a plus.
  • MSHA Training: MSHA training is a plus.
  • Physical Requirements: Meet the physical requirements of the job, including sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, twisting, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, reaching, grasping, squatting, repetitive motions, manipulative finger movements with both hands, use of wrists, use of both feet, use of arms above and below shoulder, work extended periods of time in same position, perform duties in all climates, tolerate heights, lift and carry up to 50 lbs., work in confined spaces, and capable of wearing respiratory and other personal protective equipment.
