Job Title: Social Worker - Mental Health Clinic

Family Service League Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our Mental Health Clinic team in Huntington. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in providing evaluations, treatment planning, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention to children, families, and adults with a range of DSM diagnoses.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group therapy to adults and children with a full range of DSM diagnoses in a clinic setting.
  • Direct service will be provided both in person and via telehealth.
  • Complete all clinical documentation in accordance with NYS Office of Mental Health in an electronic medical record, including progress notes, comprehensive assessments, and individual action plans.
  • Provide services that are delivered in a trauma-informed, culturally and linguistically competent manner.
  • Communicate with all relevant referral sources, care coordination providers, and family members.
  • Coordinate and provide linkage to community resources and for discharge planning.
  • Attend routine supervision and team meetings.
  • Provide crisis intervention during scheduled work hours as needed.
  • Identify and recommend additional referrals as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in social work required.
  • LMSW, LCSW, or limited permit required.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a behavioral health setting required; clinic experience preferred.
  • Prior experience diagnosing using the DSM V and experience with behavioral/therapeutic interventions for children, adolescents, and adults preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records, required.
  • Valid and clean NYS Driver's License required.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
