The Specialist will communicate any concerns raised by clients to the Pharmacy Services Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute return and restocking processes to enhance the efficiency of automation usage.
  • Oversee and maintain inventory levels of formulary medications to guarantee their availability for dispensing.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on automation systems and escalate unresolved issues to the Technical Assistance Center (TAC).
  • Advise on medications to be integrated into automation systems based on usage data and workflow requirements.
  • Perform daily and periodic cleaning of equipment following best practice guidelines.
  • Inspect robotic systems daily for any operational issues or wear.
  • Resolve common technical issues as they arise.
  • Analyze trends to identify root causes of recurring problems.
  • Maintain open communication to facilitate proactive and solution-oriented problem-solving.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by aligning the Pharmacy Services program with client needs, emphasizing quality and responsiveness.
  • Conduct training sessions and ensure compliance with all necessary documentation and policies.
  • Promote customer engagement and satisfaction by acting as a knowledgeable resource.
  • Engage in planning activities by setting personal goals that support quality improvement initiatives.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment by utilizing effective communication and team-building skills.
  • Adhere to established procedures and guidelines set forth by the healthcare provider.
  • Manage work-related expenses responsibly, including timekeeping and per diem considerations.
  • Maintain required state and/or national certifications to meet professional standards.
  • Be prepared to travel to various client or corporate locations as needed.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and reliability.
  • Proven customer service skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work with mechanical systems effectively.
  • Proficient in computer hardware and Windows operating systems.

Basic Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current PTCB Certification.
  • State Pharmacy Technician Registration/License (if applicable).
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a hospital pharmacy or healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy automation systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three years of experience in a related field.
  • Knowledge of safe handling practices for hazardous medications.
  • Experience in implementing and supporting clinical solutions in healthcare.
  • COVID-19 vaccination.
