Banner Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to fill the position of Director of Operating Room. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading the operations of the OR department.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and facilitate patient-centered nursing care for designated patient populations
- Lead change and develop, implement, and evaluate quality and process improvement initiatives
- Facilitate communication of system, regional, facility, and department initiatives
- Manage and develop operational and capital budgets and use of associated resources
- Assure the development of staff leadership through the design of effective shared leadership models and supports career advancement opportunities
- Responsible for selection, orientation, on-boarding, and retention of staff
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong knowledge and understanding of clinical care management, as well as critical thinking, communication, influence, decision-making, analytical, and flexibility skills. A current RN license in the state of practice and BLS certification are also required.
