Job Description Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified Lecturer in Engineering to join our team at the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a selection of undergraduate engineering courses, including course and laboratory development and management activities. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a master's degree in an engineering discipline and a demonstrated record of teaching engineering courses. A doctoral degree in engineering disciplines is desired.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the Lecturer in Engineering will be to teach a selection of undergraduate engineering courses required of students of a given academic department. The successful candidate will be expected to bring experience, innovation, enthusiasm, technology, and leadership to the courses that they will teach. The teaching load will be three courses per semester, which includes course and laboratory development and management activities. In addition to instructional duties, the successful candidate will contribute to the instructional mission of the department through participation on faculty committees and be expected to mentor students through possible participation in student organizations, competition activities, and other mentoring and knowledge enhancement opportunities.
Requirements
The selected candidate for this position must have a demonstrated record of teaching engineering courses, be able to communicate effectively in English, and have a minimum of a master's degree in an engineering discipline at the time of employment. The successful candidate must be able to meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States at the time appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment.
