At Northwell Health, we are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team.
Job Summary
The CT Technologist is responsible for operating Computed Tomography (CT) equipment, preparing patients for examination, and ensuring that proper information has been obtained for the physician to make a diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CT equipment to capture high-quality images of patients
- Prepare patients for examination by explaining procedures and positioning them on the exam table
- Ensure that proper documentation is maintained
- Collaborate with Radiologists to extend imaging protocols as needed
- Administer intravenous (IV) and oral contrast agents as per Radiologist order
- Recognize and assist in the treatment of contrast agent reactions and IV extravasations
Requirements
- Vocational or Technical school Diploma required
- Current License to practice as a Radiologist in New York State
- Current ARRT Radiology registration required, plus specialized certifications as needed
- 1-3 years of technical experience required
Salary Information
The salary range for this position is $56.05-$65.55/hour.
