Computed Tomography Technologist

As a CT Technologist at Northwell Health, you will be responsible for operating Computed Tomography (CT) equipment, preparing patients for examination, and ensuring that proper information has been obtained for the physician to make a diagnosis. You will also maintain required documentation and collaborate with Radiologists to extend parameters, if needed, within established imaging protocols.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate CT equipment to capture high-quality images of patients
• Prepare patients for examination by explaining procedures and setting up equipment
• Ensure that consent forms for IV contrast materials have been obtained and screen for pregnancy
• Perform CT procedures, including abdominal, thoracic, neurological exams, and biopsies
• Collaborate with Radiologists to extend parameters, if needed, within established imaging protocols
Requirements
Vocational or Technical school Diploma required
Current License to practice as a Radiologist in New York State, and Current ARRT Radiology registration required, plus specialized certifications as needed
1-3 years of technical experience, required
