Job Summary

The College of Lake County is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty, Music (Trombone) to join our Music Department. As a key member of our faculty team, you will be responsible for teaching applied instrument lessons to trombone students, creating and distributing course syllabi, and evaluating student progress in line with departmental outcomes and expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach applied instrument lessons to trombone students
  • Create and distribute course syllabi
  • Evaluate student progress and provide feedback
  • Develop and implement instructional materials
  • Assess student learning and assign grades
  • Attend departmental meetings and participate in college governance
  • Maintain current knowledge of subject matter
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean or Associate Dean
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Music and at least 5 years of professional experience
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse cultures, language groups, and abilities
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and students
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree or higher in Music, or other Masters degree or higher with at least 18 graduate hours in Music
  • Bilingual and proficient in Spanish and English
