The Department of Surgery at Trinity Health seeks a full-time faculty Surgical Oncologist to join its Division of Surgical Oncology in the section of GI Surgical Oncancy.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in minimally invasive approaches to GI malignancy, including hepato-pancreato-biliary and foregut malignancies.
The successful candidate will have completed an ACGME-approved Surgical Oncology fellowship and be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in General Surgery and Surgical Oncology.
The position is based at Loyola University Medical Center but will also have a dual appointment at the Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital.
The Department of Surgery is a multi-specialty surgical service; comprised of 58 faculty across ten unique divisions.
The department has developed active research programs through collaborations with the Burn Shock Trauma Institute and the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center.
Research funding is derived from a variety of sources.
The Department bears the distinction as one of the few surgery departments in the country with two NIH-training grants and hosts three residency and three fellowship programs.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Surgical Oncology physician to join the faculty of Trinity Health.
