Quality Assurance Supervisor

We're seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead our QA/QC Project Team in Reno-Sparks, Nevada. As the guardian of quality, you'll ensure our projects are built on a solid foundation of excellence.

- Collaborate for Success: Partner with the Project Management Team to create products that exceed expectations.
As a Quality Assurance Supervisor, you'll be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities:- Planning and conducting quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with stated requirements.
- Performing quality engineering reviews of design documentation and vendor quality manuals.
- Applying statistical process control (SPC) methods to analyze data and evaluate process changes.
- Engaging with the General Contractor's Quality Assurance Manager for inspection planning and project compliance.
- Providing project quality expectations to new inspectors and attending weekly project update meetings.
- Reviewing purchased products or components and providing input on acceptance decisions.
- Documenting data obtained during quality assurance activities and communicating significant issues to management.
- Preparing reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities.
- Maintaining a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, with 10 years of overall experience and/or training.
- At least 8 years of experience in Quality Control focused on ASME B31 piping codes, industrial and commercial construction, fabrication, welding, non-destructive testing, and/or other similar fields.
- Current certification in accordance with AWS QC-1 as a Senior Certified Welding Inspector (SCWI), Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), and/or ICC Mechanical - Commercial Certification preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience leading and managing direct reports.
- Proficient understanding of ASME Section IX BP&V Code and experience creating and reviewing welding procedures and welder or brazer qualifications.
- Excellent time management and written and spoken communication skills, highly professional, organized, and trustworthy team player.

Physical Requirements:
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Hours:
Monday through Friday beginning between 6:00 am and 7:00 am and ending between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm, with one hour for lunch. Eight hours per day is required, and occasional overtime may be necessary due to business needs.
Travel:
Based on business needs to and from the primary office to regional branch offices & job sites. Varying work in varying locations.
