Substation Construction Apprentice Lineperson

We are seeking an experienced Substation Construction Apprentice Lineperson to join our team at Utility Lines Construction Services, LLC. As a key member of our Substation Construction and Maintenance Department, you will assist with the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of substation equipment and hardware.

• Assist with groundwork and clear work areas to maintain safe job site conditions.
• Assemble materials on the ground and install conduit and cable in ditches and hardware from aerial devices.
• Excavate to assist in the installation of structures or cable as required by contract specification.
• Operate motorized equipment and use hand tools to perform routine maintenance on electrical equipment, machinery, and tools.
• Work at varying heights above ground with proper Personal Protective Equipment.
• Operate various tools for the work (manual digging devices, wrenches, hammers, saws, jack hammer and power tamp etc.).
• Communicate with public and private property owners to inform them of work to be performed.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience in wire stringing operations, wire sagging methods, assembly, and installation of various hardware assemblies.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods, work efficiently and effectively from heights, and walk, climb, and work from ladders or at various heights on uneven and slippery surfaces.
• Follow directions, work safely and productively, and safely enter and exit the aerial device and rear-end of the bucket truck.
• Meet and maintain weight restrictions for bucket truck as identified by aerial device manufacturer.
