Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused General Merchandise Associate to join our team at Wise Auto Group. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting and selling Harley-Davidson merchandise, and maintaining a high level of product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service throughout their shopping experience. Assist customers in selecting merchandise that suits their needs and preferences, including apparel, riding gear, accessories, and gifts. Answer questions about product features, sizes, availability, and pricing.
  • Sales and Upselling: Actively engage in sales by promoting merchandise, highlighting product benefits, and encouraging additional purchases. Inform customers about current promotions, discounts, and special offers to maximize sales opportunities. Recommend complementary products or accessories to enhance customers' shopping experience.
  • Merchandising and Display: Ensure merchandise displays are attractive, well-organized, and stocked according to dealership standards. Participate in setting up seasonal displays and promotional campaigns to attract customer interest. Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the merchandise area, including restocking shelves and folding apparel neatly.
  • Inventory Management: Receive incoming merchandise shipments, verify contents against invoices, and organize stock in designated storage areas. Monitor inventory levels and assist in conducting regular inventory counts to maintain accurate stock records. Assist in identifying slow-moving or discontinued items for markdown or clearance sales.
  • Cashier and Administrative Tasks: Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the dealership's point-of-sale (POS) system. Handle cash, credit card transactions, and maintain proper cash handling procedures. Generate receipts, invoices, and maintain records of sales transactions.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop a good understanding of Harley-Davidson products, including apparel, accessories, and lifestyle merchandise. Stay updated on new product arrivals, features, and benefits to effectively assist customers.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as Parts and Service to ensure a seamless customer experience. Communicate effectively with colleagues to coordinate merchandise needs and special orders.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build rapport with customers to encourage repeat business and foster customer loyalty. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere to dealership policies, procedures, and safety standards. Ensure compliance with Harley-Davidson guidelines and industry regulations related to merchandise handling and sales.

As a General Merchandise Associate, you will play a vital role in promoting and selling Harley-Davidson merchandise while delivering exceptional customer service to enhance the overall dealership experience for customers.
