Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Regional Superintendent to join our team at Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana. This is a full-time position that will focus on supporting our Outlet stores and providing exceptional facilities management services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to various Goodwill locations to maintain and repair physical properties, ensuring they meet our branding and quality standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related issues, resolving problems efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide leadership and coordination for new site openings and large renovation projects, working closely with contractors, vendors, and Goodwill staff.
  • Coordinate and manage contractors and vendors to complete work at assigned Goodwill sites.
  • Ensure all work performed meets the highest quality standards, adhering to state and local regulations, and applicable building codes.
  • Lead facility-related communication, keeping internal customers informed about work status, priorities, and project plans.
  • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble mechanical equipment and tools, performing preventative maintenance as scheduled.
  • Maintain parts and tool inventory, keeping the maintenance shop organized and supplied.
  • Stay up-to-date with training requirements, seeking opportunities for continuous development and growth.
  • Cross-train and assist in other areas to build skill base and value within the department.
Requirements
  • Possess a journeyman's license in electrical carpentry trades.
  • Have experience as a construction superintendent, leading full lifecycle projects, and ensuring quality, safety, and customer service standards.
  • Be a strategic partner, able to comprehend business challenges and provide creative solutions.
  • Have strong communication skills, articulating thoughts and expressing ideas effectively.
  • Have solid knowledge of G Suite, MS Office Suite, and the internet, with prior experience using a CMMS for work orders and PM checklists.
  • Be able to collect and review information to manage or improve processes and achieve program goals.
  • Have organizational aptitude, planning, and attending to details, with a focus on managing deadlines.
  • Have a customer-focused approach, building and maintaining customer satisfaction, and providing excellent service.
  • Be able to work autonomously, taking initiative, and owning mistakes.
  • Have a strong work ethic, demonstrating professionalism, a drive to succeed, and producing high-quality work.
  • Have safety awareness, recognizing risks, and applying measures to control and manage them.
Other Requirements
  • Pass a pre-employment background check and have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and qualify under the district's insurance carrier when driving a district vehicle.
  • Be able to spend time standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and crouching, with the ability to move and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Manage exposure to loud noises, outside weather conditions, and moving mechanical parts, with occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • Have close, distance, peripheral, color vision abilities, and be able to adjust focus.
  • Be at least 18 years old.
