Position Overview

The Catering Service Student Associate plays a crucial role in the execution of events by handling various responsibilities including event preparation, transporting food and equipment, serving attendees, and ensuring a clean and organized environment post-event. This position is exclusively for students affiliated with Aramark.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare catering setups according to client specifications and event orders.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests with professionalism.
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of food service areas throughout the event.
  • Restock food and beverage items as needed during the event.
  • Disassemble and clean food service areas and equipment after events, ensuring everything is returned to designated storage.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by anticipating the needs of guests.
  • Exhibit a positive demeanor towards guests, clients, colleagues, and others.
  • Comply with Aramark's safety protocols, including food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Safeguard company assets and equipment.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a serving or food service capacity is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills are essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and practices.
  • Ability to obtain food safety certification.
  • Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs. is required, with occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Availability for flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends.
