Job Summary

Aspire Bakeries is a leading North American baking company with a strong presence in the specialty frozen baked goods market. We are seeking a highly skilled PLC Maintenance Technician to join our team and contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all manufacturing equipment, including wrappers, mixers, motors, conveyors, and refrigeration systems.
  • Install, program, and repair automated machinery and equipment, such as robots and PLCs.
  • Monitor equipment to ensure it is in excellent operating condition and perform preventive and corrective maintenance as needed.
  • Repair faulty equipment or systems and install new equipment as required.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance workers to diagnose problems and implement solutions.
  • Document all electrical and control systems, including device hardware and software.
  • Assist in training and coordinating activities of other maintenance personnel as needed.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate's degree or certificate in electrical, mechanical, or industrial automation engineering is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience maintaining manufacturing systems and equipment in an automated plant is required.
  • Strong mechanical background in a production setting, with experience troubleshooting and repairing gearboxes, conveyors, sprocket/chains, belts, clutches, and brakes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems up to 480v 3 phase, read and interpret electrical drawings and P&IDs.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of all power tools, hand tools, welders, lathes, drill presses, etc.
  • Ability to work any shift, including weekends and holidays.
