Job Title: Electronics Technician

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to join our team at Amcor plc. As an Electronics Technician, you will be responsible for providing electronic maintenance and troubleshooting in maintaining efficient electrical systems throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide electronic diagnostics and repair of broken electronics on worktables.
  • Aid in determining the difference between process problems and maintenance corrective actions.
  • Detect electronic malfunctions and repair malfunctions.
  • Review paperwork for jobs to be completed and enter parts collected and fixed into computer systems.
  • Enter daily reports to supervision and management.
  • Lead troubleshooters and direct lead mechanics/multi-maintenance in correcting issues or completing work assignments.
  • Knowledge of PID control, class 1 Div 1 and class 1 Div 2, and ability to read/write electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic.
  • Read and comprehend electrical and instrumentation drawings.
  • Troubleshoot PLC programs and make programming changes when required.
  • Understanding of industrial power circuits, installation practices, and general OSHA Safety practices.
  • Ability to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate instrumentation such as temperature sensors, pressure sensors, LEL, pressure switches, temperature switches, weighing systems, valve actuators, and positioners.
  • Ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot motor control systems including VFDs, servos, and robotic systems.
  • Understanding of networking protocols and hardware (switches, routers, firewalls).
  • Abide by GMPs as related to working in a food production facility.
Requirements:
  • Associates Degree in Electronics.
  • Five (5) years practical experience in machine installation, wiring, and maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of plant personnel, engineers, electricians, mechanics, supervisors, and outside vendors.
  • Good computer skills and knowledge of office software and Internet access search.
  • Good math skills in math calculations and conversion units of measurements.
  • Read electronic, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics; both domestic and European.
  • Pass Electronics test.
