We are seeking a highly skilled Community Planner to join our team at Air Force Civilian Career Training. As a Community Planner, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing planning processes to support the Air Force environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement planning processes to support the Air Force environment
- Provide support to higher graded personnel in the formulation and implementation of planning processes
- Perform a variety of taskings in support of the maintenance of the Installation Development Plan (IDP)
- Perform taskings in support of the Interagency/Intergovernmental Coordination for Environmental Planning (IICEP) program
- Completion of 1 academic year of graduate level education, or bachelor's degree with Superior academic Achievement
- 5 academic years of pre-professional study, or 1 year specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-05
- Master's or equivalent graduate degree, or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
- Knowledge and understanding of the techniques and philosophy of professional community planning
- Knowledge and skill to gather, assemble, analyze and report on facts
- Knowledge of automated systems and programs such as CADD, information management, project tracking, and other software programs
- Ability to recognize significant and controlling aspects of situations in relation to standard community planning practices
- Skill in communicating orally and in writing
