Role Overview:

At PAR Systems, we're pushing the boundaries of engineering innovation. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll be part of our Critical Handling Solutions (CHS) team, designing and building high-performance, high-reliability custom crane and lifting equipment for diverse industries, including aerospace, nuclear test laboratories, and commercial nuclear plants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead mechanical design from concept to completion, collaborating with Controls and Software Engineers, Sales, and Manufacturing teams.
  • Develop and mentor junior coworkers in SolidWorks, ensuring project requirements are met and projects are completed on schedule.
  • Conduct internal and customer design review meetings, driving complex projects to success.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, fostering innovation and growth.
  • Collaborate with engineering leaders across business units to propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:
  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in machine and/or automation design.
  • Experience with 3D CAD modeling packages – SolidWorks preferred.
  • Ability to manage large machine or automation design from concept to completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to own and drive projects to completion.
  • Strong skills in planning, organization, and dedication to consistently deliver on commitments.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites to support installation and commissioning of machinery, with occasional travel up to 25%.
