Physical Therapy Assistant Opportunity

Lafayette Physical Therapy, Inc. is an established private practice in the community for over 46 years.
We currently have two locations: Lafayette Physical Therapy, in Lafayette, CA and Bay Area Physical Therapy, in Pleasant Hill, CA.
Our therapists are trained in a variety of disciplines including Australian manual therapy, McKenzie approach, Gary Gray, PNF, sports training, Pilates, and Myofascial Release Therapy.
Job Description:
This is a great opportunity to gain experience in the medical field, especially for individuals applying to Physical Therapy or other related degree programs.
We are looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to join our skilled team.
The position assists physical therapy practice in patient care, clinic duties, and to help the clinic run efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the flow of patients in and out of the clinic
- Assist in modality setups including heat/ice, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, light therapy, Class IV Deep Tissue Laser Therapy, and traction
- Under the supervision of the Therapist, assist with therapeutic exercises and instruction and inform Therapists of patient responses to treatments
Clinic/Office Duties:
Maintain appropriate levels of stock and supplies
Maintain the clinic in a clean and orderly fashion including cleaning and prepping rooms and treatment tables, equipment, minor housekeeping tasks such as dusting, laundry, etc, stocking forms for clinic use, Filing
Adherence to HIPAA Privacy Regulations (Training Provided to new staff)
Attend staff meetings and in-services regularly
Performance Measurements:
Adaptability in performing various tasks and remaining flexible
