We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Refill Specialist to join our team at Providence Medical Foundation. As a key member of our centralized refill team, you will play a critical role in handling incoming prescription refill requests for our medical group providers.
Responsibilities- Review and process prescription refills from phone, fax, and electronic requests following established medication protocols.
- Transmit approvals electronically to pharmacies per protocol established by the medical group.
- Communicate with patients and schedule appointments as necessary.
- Process and follow up on prior authorization requests for medical group providers.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Complete coursework to obtain a Pharmacy Tech License.
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- A California Pharmacy Technician License upon hire.
- At least one year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
