The Oncology Institute of Hope and Innovation is dedicated to delivering highly specialized, value-based cancer care in the community setting.

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Infusion Technician to assist with the preparation of medication orders by compounding or admixing intravenous medications under the supervision of medical oncologists and oncology RNs. Key Responsibilities:
  • Compounding IV medications: Measure and mix medications, sterile solutions, and additives according to established protocols and guidelines, maintaining a sterile environment during the compounding process.
  • Labeling and packaging: Properly label and package the compounded IV medications, ensuring all necessary information is clearly indicated.
  • Inventory management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels of IV medications, quantities, lot numbers/expiration date accuracy, supplies, and equipment.
  • Quality control: Adhere to quality control standards and procedures to ensure the accuracy, sterility, and safety of compounded IV medications.
  • Environmental monitoring: Participate in maintaining both environmental controls and personnel controls.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician training program.
  • Minimum two years' experience in compounding IV admixtures including IV chemotherapy.
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification is strongly preferred.
Schedule Details: In-Person, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm, with local travel required.
