Faculty Position in Biostatistics

We are seeking a highly qualified biostatistics faculty member to join our department at the University of Virginia. The successful candidate will have a strong research background in biostatistics and a proven track record of collaborative research and teaching experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct collaborative research projects with faculty members in the department and other institutions
  • Develop and teach courses in biostatistics at the graduate level
  • Participate in departmental and university service activities
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in biostatistics, statistics, or a closely related quantitative field
  • Experience collaborating on R01 or equivalent grant applications
  • Teaching experience at the graduate level
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the design and execution of adaptive clinical trials
  • Proven track record of extramural funding

We encourage applicants with expertise in Bayesian methods for clinical trials, small sample predictive modeling, or sequential analysis to apply. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with investigators within the UVA School of Medicine and participate in a multidisciplinary research program to advance clinical trial design and application.
