About the Role:

The City of Pasadena, serving a vibrant community of 140,000 residents and a bustling daytime population of 250,000, is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader for the role of Chief of Public Infrastructure. This position is pivotal in overseeing the Public Works Department, which is supported by a dedicated team of 273 professionals and operates with an annual budget of $93.5 million.


Department Overview:
The Public Works Department is organized into five key divisions: Administration, Engineering, Street Maintenance, Resource Recovery and Recycling, and Building Systems and Fleet Management. The department is engaged in several significant capital projects that are currently in progress, with many more planned for the future.


Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading and empowering team members to foster a culture of support and resilience.
  • Communicating effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Successfully managing and completing capital projects within established timelines.
